The Internship/Trainee program is a cultural exchange program developed by the US State Department, the participants of which go to the US for a period of 1-18 months and work in the US in hotels, restaurants, other structures in the given field, acquire practice, or exchange their experience themselves. with employees. Applicants to the program receive a J-1 exchange visitor visa, which is rarely denied if the participant meets the program's requirements. In the case of the Internship program, it is mandatory that the applicant be a hotel, hospitality, tourism, culinary student, or not more than 1 year has passed after graduation, and in the case of Trainee program participants, work experience is more important, but no education, in the case of the Trainee program, it is mandatory for the applicant to have 5+ years of work experience, in the field of hospitality or cooking, and documents to prove it. Within the framework of the program, the participants work in high-end hotels in the USA, which can be located in different cities and states, they are mainly hotels in major tourist cities, and the participant has the opportunity to choose. The salary ranges from 17-22 USD per hour (gross), working hours are 8 hours per day. Accommodation, food, utilities are covered by the participant, although there are offers that the hosting organisation takes care of this, the participant learns more about this when he reaches the stage of receiving offers, and chooses the most suitable offer.
The total cost of the program in case of departure for 12
months is $1,850 + AMD 200,000 commission fee + $65 monthly medical insurance
amount (12*65=$780) + $185 embassy fee + $35 SEVIS fee. For other durations,
other values apply, the maximum is 18 months, the minimum is 1 month, most
often hotels prefer to invite for 12 months.
The participant approaches the office (in case of
impossibility, there is also an online consultation option), receives a free
consultation, then signs a contract and pays a commission of AMD 200,000, after
which the organisation activates an online platform for the participant, where
the participant receives offers from hotels. The Participant receives
instructions on how to fill out and download personal documents on the online
platform and begins filling out the personal page on the given platform. After
downloading all the documents, the participant also has an interview with our
partner organisation to check their English skills. Before the interview,
English knowledge can be checked for free at www.testpodium.com, Level 2, it
will take approximately 35 minutes to pass the test. With a score above 41, the
participant has sufficient knowledge to participate in the program.After successfully passing the interview with our partners,
the participant pays the first part of the program fee of $600 and receives
offers on his online platform, from which he can choose the offer that is
suitable for him. Offers include full information on host organisations,
position, salary, accommodation, bonus availability, airport pick-up, living
expenses and other details.
In the second
step, an interview is organised with the host hotel, where the parties refer to
each other all the questions that concern them, the answers of which they have
not received before.
After final acceptance of the offer, the participant signs a contract with the hotel and the sponsoring organisation and pays the remaining program fee of $1,250, the medical insurance fee of $780 and waives the SEVISE fee of $35.
After making the basic payment, our partners prepare and mail all the required documents needed to apply to the embassy (Special Invitation under the US Department of State sponsored program, DS-7002, Contract from the inviting organisation, Invitation from the sponsoring organisation, Invitation from the hotel, Contract by the hotel).
After receiving all the documents, we book a meeting at the embassy for the participant.
The participant pays a fee of $185 for the interview at the embassy, the payment is made in cash to the embassy account.
On the specified day, he approaches the embassy for an interview, receives the visa, visa type: J-1 exchange visitor visa
Air ticket to the USA is purchased by the participant
In case of non-receipt of the visa, the amount will be refunded in accordance with the terms and conditions of the pre-signed contract.
If the participant meets the requirements of the program, has satisfactory English skills, has no problems with the US Embassy or the US, does not pursue other goals related to travelling to the US, it is rare for J-1 exchange visitor visas to be refused.
